FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is a Tecplast scaffold netting used for?

Tecplast scaffold netting, offered by Bâches-Direct, is designed to secure construction sites, especially at height.

It helps limit the projection of debris, dust, or materials toward the street or pedestrians. It is recommended for construction professionals who need to work safely at height while complying with public protection regulations.

Is the scaffold net compatible with all types of scaffolding?

Yes, our protective netting is designed to fit most standard scaffolding structures, thanks to its reinforced edges and eyelets spaced every 2 cm.

It can be easily fixed with cable ties, bungee cords, or hooks depending on the job site.

Its light weight makes it quick and easy to install, regardless of the height or configuration of the scaffolding.

What’s the difference between scaffold netting and a construction tarp?

Scaffold netting is mainly used to retain light debris (dust, rubble, small materials) while allowing air and light to pass through, which makes it ideal for facade work or jobs at height.

A construction tarp, being heavier and more opaque, is better suited to protect against bad weather (rain, wind) or to hide a work zone.

Depending on your needs, the two can be complementary.

What are the dimensions and features of the scaffold netting?

Our scaffold nets are available in rolls of 3x20 m or 3x50 m, in white or green.

Each roll is compact, easy to transport on-site, handle, and install.

They are treated with UV protection for extended outdoor durability and include black reinforced edges for long-term strength.

Despite their lightweight (50 g/m²), Tecplast nets are highly tear-resistant (215N/5 cm – ISO 13937-1 certified).

The elastic mesh allows 35% wind filtration and provides 30% visual blockage.

Is the net weather-resistant and suitable for demanding site conditions?

Tecplast scaffold netting is specifically made for use on construction sites. It is UV-treated (3%) to withstand prolonged exposure to outdoor conditions.

The black reinforced side edges and eyelets every 2 cm ensure easy and secure installation with excellent stability, even in windy or rainy weather.

It remains tight, stable, and tear-resistant — a reliable solution for any construction project.
