TECPLAST ROUND HOOKS: THE SECRET TO A PERFECTLY TENSIONED TARPAULIN!
TECPLAST round fastening hooks are essential accessories for keeping tarpaulins securely and durably in place. Their unique mushroom shape allows the bungee cord to pass through smoothly, ensuring quick and secure installation and consistent tension over time.
To suit all configurations, we offer our round tarpaulin fastening hooks in packs of various quantities. This allows each customer to choose the quantity that is perfectly suited to their project. The TECPLAST CC50 pack contains 50 round tarpaulin hooks.
HOW TO INSTALL A ROUND FASTENING HOOK FOR TARPAULINS?
The round fastening hook can be easily screwed onto any rigid support, whether made of wood, metal, aluminium or PVC. It can be mounted on a horizontal or vertical surface and offers a discreet, robust and weather-resistant fastening.
Please note that screws are not included in this pack.
We recommend using stainless steel screws with a diameter of 3 or 4 mm, depending on the material of the surface. The head must not exceed 8 mm in diameter and must be at least 3 cm long.
WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
- Securing a pergola tarp
Ideal for securing a tarpaulin to a pergola, carport or shelter, it allows for uniform tensioning of the bungee cord and perfect support for the tarp. Installation is simple: just thread the bungee cord alternately through the eyelets in the tarpaulin and the round fastening hooks. This system guarantees a secure fastening and even tension distribution. The round hook for pergolas thus ensures long-lasting hold throughout the seasons, even in bad weather.
- Securing a tarpaulin to a trailer
The round hook is also widely used as a hook on trailer sides. It effectively keeps the trailer tarp tight and securely in place, even in the event of vibrations or frequent movement. Strong and durable, it is easy to replace if necessary and ensures even tension on the trailer bungee cord. Thanks to the round hooks, the trailer tensioner can be installed and removed very quickly.
- For installing a swimming pool cover
Easy to install, it ensures even tension around the entire perimeter of your swimming pool without damaging the cover. It adapts to most bungee cords as well as many shapes of pool covers (rectangular, square, round, hexagonal, octagonal, etc.). Practical and reliable, it offers a clean, quick and durable fastening solution. It also facilitates daily and seasonal assembly and disassembly.
HOW DO I CALCULATE THE NUMBER OF ROUND HOOKS I NEED FOR MY INSTALLATION?
To determine the number of round hooks needed to secure your tarpaulin, count one hook for each interval between two eyelets. For a square or rectangular tarpaulin, add 4 additional round hooks for the corners (if your installation allows it). We also recommend that you have a few spare hooks on hand in case of unforeseen circumstances during installation.
Example for a 3x4 m tarpaulin with eyelets spaced 25 cm apart:
- Width 3m: 3/0.25 = 12 hooks × 2 sides = 24 hooks
- Length 4m: 4/0.25 = 16 hooks × 2 sides = 32 hooks
- Add 4 corner hooks
- Add 5 spare/safety hooks
Recommended total: 65 round tarpaulin fastening hooks
